Anthony J. Udofia, MHC-LP
Therapist
he/him
As a gay Black man, I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels calm, grounding, and free from judgment. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship where you can bring every part of yourself without fear of stigma or shame. My approach is inviting, insightful, and sex-positive, with a deep appreciation for the ways identity, culture, and lived experience shape our inner selves. Whether you're navigating emotional pain, relationship tensions, questions of identity, or longstanding behavioral patterns or habits, I aim to offer a space where you feel seen, supported, and more capable of creating the life you'd like to be living.
How I work:
I provide an integrative approach to therapy that combines psychoanalytic therapy, liberation psychology, and principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we'll explore both the conscious and unconscious aspects of your inner world while also considering the broader cultural and sociopolitical contexts that shape your experiences. This approach is designed to fuel deeper insight, psychological flexibility, and a solid sense of agency as you work toward meaningful, lasting change.
